We hold multiple in-club tournaments each summer, which are open to all club members and are free to enter. These tournaments include Men's Singles, Ladies' Singles, Men's Doubles, Ladies' Doubles and Mixed Doubles. The tournaments are competitive but played in good spirit and there are opportunities for all to participate!
Many club members also participate in the Charlton Fete Tournament, which will held on the grass courts in Charlton on Saturday 18th July.
The round-robin stages of our 2020 tournaments will take place on the following dates, with all finals to be played on Sunday 13th September:

Kings Sutton A completed their impressive season in Div 2 of the Winter Weekend League with another victory – making it 10 wins out of 10 for the league champions!
They beat a strong Harbury team 6-2 due to rubber wins for Stephanie & Sally (6-1, 6-0), Jordan & Stephanie (6-1, 6-0) and Jerry & Sally (7-6, 6-3). The only reversal came in the men’s rubber with Jordan & Jerry losing 4-6, 3-6.
A good win today for the B team against Byfield C in the Banbury Winter League, making it 7 wins from 9 matches and a guaranteed promotion to Division 2 next year with 1 match still to play. Both the ladies and the men's doubles were halved, with Anne & Sandra going 6-3, 3-6 and Jerry & Russell winning the first set 6-2 before narrowly missing out on the second by losing in the tiebreak. All square going into the mixed and number 1 pair Anne & Jerry halved again at 6-2, 2-6, with a 6-1, 6-2 victory for Sandra and Russell securing the overall result.
King's Sutton A wrapped up the Banbury Weekend Division 2 title with a game to spare, with a convincing 7-1 win over Middleton Cheney A yesterday morning. Steph and Sally won the ladies doubles 6-1, 6-2 while Jerry and Callum halved the men's 6-0, 4-6. In the mixed, Steph and Callum won 6-2, 6-1, with Sally and Jerry winning 6-3, 6-2 to complete the win.
On Saturday 29th, King’s Sutton B battled storm Jorge and Tysoe A to secure a 7-1 victory in the Banbury Weekend League. In extremely challenging conditions, the ladies, Tanya Gardiner and Caro Stacy, came back from 1-5 down to win 7-5, 6-1 and the men, Darrel Foulk and Robbie Macrory, won 7-5, 6-2. In the mixed both couples were pushed to a tie-break. The first pair, Darrel and Tanya, won theirs and took the second set 6-3. Robbie and Caro won their first set 6-3 but lost their tie-break set. The victory secures second place in Division 3 and promotion to Division 2 for King’s Sutton!
The B team put in a great performance to secure a 6-2 win over second place BWE C, keeping them comfortably top of the Floodlit Div 4 table. Caro & Isobel won the ladies doubles, and the mixed pairings of Caro & Jerry and Isobel & Darrel both beat their opposite pairs to secure the win. Promotion beckons!
King's Sutton B continued their push for promotion from Division 4 in the Floodlit League with a convincing 6-2 win over Byfield D last night. Caro and Isobel comfortably won the ladies double 6-3, 6-0, with Jerry and Darrel battling to a 6-4, 6-2 win in the men's doubles. In the mixed doubles, Caro and Jerry were just edged out by the Byfield first pair, but Isobel and Darrel convincingly beat the second pair 6-0, 6-1 to secure the win. The win moves the team to the top of the league!
In the Banbury Weekend Winter League Div 2, King's Sutton A had an early season ‘top of the table’ clash with Charlbury B – both teams going into the match with 15 points from their first two matches.
King's Sutton came out convincing 8-0 winners, conceding just 10 games across the 8 sets. Steph Browne and Sally McAllister-Little won the ladies match 6-2, 6-2, while Jordan Robinson and Dave Dallaway won the men’s 6-0, 6-2. In the mixed doubles rubbers, Robinson and Browne won 6-1, 6-0 and Dallaway and McAllister-Little won 6-2, 6-1.
King's Sutton A got their winter season off to a perfect start with an 8-0 win over Priors Marston A this morning. Jordan and Callum won the men's doubles 6-1, 6-2, with Sally and Carrie winning the ladies doubles 6-2, 6-1. Jordan and Sally teamed up to win their mixed 6-1, 6-2, with Callum and Carrie winning 6-0, 6-0 to complete the whitewash.
